EP:47 5 MISTAKES YOU'RE MAKING WITH YOUR AFFIRMATIONS

I’m sure you’ve heard about affirmations before…
But my guess is you are doing a few things wrong.
I believe that affirmations are one of the most powerful ways to change your thinking. Affirmations begin to change your internal language to something that guides us towards who and where we want to be. We can’t move from being stuck by way of our same thought patterns.
What are affirmations?
An affirmation is a statement that describes a goal in its already completed state. It’s a way for you to consciously choose sentences or words that will either help you eliminate something from your life or help to create something new in your life and you do this in a positive way. It is a statement that proclaims your best self and your best life as though it were already true.
I am earning $10,000 a month.
I am a successful entrepreneur earning a 6 figure income.
I am a magnet to opportunity.
I am aligned with prosperity.
Everything that I need I attract in the exact right timing.
My body feels alive and revived and full of energy anf vitality.
Life is a joy and filled with love.
I am loving and loveable and loved.
I have attracted the most beautiful intimate relationship.
Our minds are incredibly powerful.
Our thoughts affect our attitude, our physiology, and our motivation to act.
See if we want to create change in our lives, it starts with our thoughts first.
If we say something enough it will become a belief in our subconscious mind. And our beliefs = our reality.
So here's 5 Reasons Your Affirmations Don’t Work:
1. They aren’t in present tense
2. They aren’t believable
3. They don’t include gratitude
4. They don’t evoke emotion
5. They aren’t specific enough
Ok, so hopefully you’ve been able to tweak your affirmations a little bit, so now let’s talk about how to supercharge them.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
STEP 1: Choose the affirmation you want to work with.
STEP 2: Find a piece of instrumental music that inspires you and moves you.
STEP 3: Get in front of a mirror.
STEP 4: Put your favorite song on repeat.
STEP 5: Begin repeating your affirmation out loud to yourself 100 times as you look at yourself and your own eyes in the mirror. (It’s helpful to have a sheet of paper labeled 1-10 and tick off each time you say the affirmation) Don’t stop until you get to 100.
Now your affirmation is super charged!
CHALLENGE: For 32 days repeat your affirmation out loud (anywhere) to the length of one repetition of your song. If you skip a day then start over from the beginning. Watch how this exercise shifts everything internally.
